Withdraw won't send everything

When a withdrawal asks for more than can leave. With nothing above what has to stay, the button reads Nothing to withdraw right now.

What happened

Three things keep NEAR in the account during a normal withdrawal. Max already leaves them out, so this message mostly appears when an amount is typed by hand.

The withdraw screen names each one. What stays for good shows as, for example, “0.08 N stays in your account to keep it open.”: the reserve plus the storage NEAR locks for the account. A send to another network adds “About 0.12 NEAR is set aside for network fees; most of it comes back after the send.” With open orders it adds “About … NEAR is kept for your open limit orders’ gas fees.” When nothing is left to send to another network, the button reads “Nothing to send · 0.05 NEAR reserve + ~0.12 NEAR gas, returned after”.

What to do

To take everything to your wallet (if you signed in with a NEAR wallet): use Withdraw everything to followed by your wallet’s name. You confirm once in your wallet, and it sends the reserve too. Only the small amount NEAR locks for the account’s own storage stays behind.

To free the orders’ share, cancel the open orders you no longer want, then withdraw again.

For another network, use Max. The gas set aside returns to the account once the send finishes, and you can withdraw it afterwards.

Your funds

When the withdrawal stops here, the app sends nothing. The reserve, the gas set aside and the orders’ share stay in your trading account.
