Price moved past your slippage

A trade stops with Price moved past your slippage before your order landed. What happened to your NEAR and how to retry.

Price moved past your 4% slippage before your order landed. Nothing was spent.
With a button that names a wider slippage, such as Retry at 5%. The slippage the trade was signed with shows in place of 4%.

Every trade is signed with a minimum it will accept: the quoted output less your slippage, rounded down. Between the quote and the moment your trade reached the pool, the price moved further than that, so the pool refused to fill below your minimum and the trade stopped.

Your NEAR stayed in your trading account, or on a sell, the tokens did. No trading fee was charged. The network kept the gas the attempt burned, a few thousandths of a NEAR (a filled buy we measured burned 0.0031 NEAR).

  • Press the retry button. It offers the next step above the slippage you used, on a ladder of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%.
  • Or set a fixed slippage with the gear in the ticket. On Auto, a pool route is signed at 4%, or at the preset’s cap when the cap is lower; the presets cap it at 5% (P1), 10% (P2) and 20% (P3).

A wider slippage fills more often and can fill at a worse price.
